man that looks absolutely awesome. Def on my wish list for summer '10 for my truck. I already have line x in the bed so all I would have to do it the lower 1/4 and rockers and the trailer hitch.

Great job and thanks for posting your progress. I almost think that they need to turn this into an article in an upcoming issue of the the print TDR?

Everyone have a happy and safe new year.

edit: any idea how much this weights per sq/foot? I'm thinking that this might be really nice on my hunting tree stand to quiet the metalic sound.

Thanks bud! I just recieved some pamphlets from Al's to hand out at the diesel events because I liked it so much, I became a dealer. In the info, Dana gave me, each gallon of Al's is 11lbs including the box & jugs. I would guess each gallon to weigh around 8-9lbs after sprayed?

Looks really good. Glad to see we aren't the only one's getting the snow. I noticed you didn't do the fender flares or the front bumper. It's just a little darker than the gray but its goes nicely with the wheels.

That's a good looking truck. Very nice work.

Thanks. It does look dark in the pic, but it is a perfect match. The texture makes it look darker.

I notice mud on the side of your truck and now in the snow. You mean you actually drive it and get it dirty. I thought you was building a show truck to be trailer-ed around; Just joking a beautiful truck.

Thanks. This is far from a show truck. :-laf I put my liner to its first test yesterday, 2500lbs of rock salt getting slid across it.

Jamie...

Can the Al's be color matched to the factory colors?...

If so I have a Flame Red truck you can do as I have been trying to get the rockers and bed shot for a few months around here. Neither the local Line-X or Rhino dealers want to spray the rockers and if I have it done I want it all done... ... . Andy

Al's can be color matched to any color you choose. All you gotta do is add twice the amount of automotive pigment as you would the supplied Al's Liner tint. Al's comes with 6oz of color, you will need 12oz of automotive pigment per gallon of liner. The best part is that Al's can be rolled on as well if you want to do inside of door jambs etc. I am bringing samples as well as a pallet of liner & guns with me to Diesel Dawgs this year. I am hoping to set up a booth if I can get in touch with someone in charge down there.

Some more testing has been done & the Al's liner is holding up great!

It has been tested with 7 pallets of salt this winter as well.

The rockers have seen their share of abuse & they are holding up very well.

So whats every ones opinion on whats the best do it yourself spray in bedliner? I am in the market and while I have the bad off to put in my air dog I thought it would be the best time to do it.

Definately Al's! I've tried Duplicolor, Herculiner & they don't compare.

Ok I have been looking and I have found AL's, Upol rapter, SEM rock it, and this other one on ebay that sells dealer kits. They all look the same I have seen Al's on this post and Upol in the tdr mag so what has every one else used. Do it yourself type spray in with 2 part mix one part is like paint I have used it before. Thanks

Hi Cummins724,

I followed your painting post with much anticipation and admiration.

Thought you had picked the best color ever and your work was awesome, didn't think you could possibly ever make your truck look any better... until now!

Love your sharing, your color selection, your hard work and your outcome. Your tire/wheel combo are also awesome...
