Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Alternate dial gauge

Does anyone know of an alternate to the snap-on dial gauge for setting the injector pump timing?

I have the snap-on adapter that goes into the injector pump delivery valve but can't use the cheap aftermarket gauge I have available since the shaft is to short and the upper part is to narrow (loose between the adapter and the set screw.

I can make work if I could find an extension for the shaft length so doesn't anyone know if there is a source for those?

i did a post a while back about it and had a link to a place that had all kinds of dial indicator stuff, i think i even took measurements of my snap on gauge, i don't have time to find it but a search should bring it up
