OK... I'm sure this has been covered before, but... is running home heating oil in my '06 a possibility? What can I expect as far as power, mileage and problems (with sensors, injectors, etc)? I'm not worried about legalities here.
there is a possibility the home heating oil is high sulfer like 1500 ppm instead ol low sulfer 150 or the common ulsd now at pumps 15 ppm. Ok so what does this mean... well honestly I don't know but I would assuume its the higher sulfer so lots of smoke when cold, and maybe a pluged up CAT... . legal if your off road and not if on... . I assume it is red in color... this will stain sertain parts for a period of time after you go back to on road fuel... warentee wise you may have to prove that you only used ulsd or lsd and not hsd... . I"m comercial so for me its not worth it. red is off road and non died is on ... .
