Alternatives to beverage diving board?

I was messing around in the 97 today and realized that I haven't even opened the stock 'beverage diving board/ cup holder' for several months. Had a bad experience with a bottle of water doing a back flip on the way to work one morning and haven't used it since.



Anyone know of any alternative uses for this space? I was hoping to find a switch plate or something that goes there but I didn't have any luck, so I might end up trying to make one. Anyone else use the space for anything interesting?
