2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Alternator leads

Quick question, what's best to use to cover those little leads on the back of the alternator, the ones that can cause so much problems if you happen to touch it with a tool, or even an oil filter during a change? Tape doesn't stay on well and after a while it's gone. Suggestions??
