I'm Putting A 12 Valve In A 84' Chevy K30. I'm Looking For A Alt. That Will Bolt Up To The Cummins Bracket W/ Out Mods. Or Something That Works Good And Is Simple. I Would Like To Be Able To Find Something At A Auto Parts Store For Easy Replacement. Anyone Have Part Numbers? Thanks.

If you get the original , use it , then add an external regulator , lot of guys are doing that when they have a charging problem ,
If not go to a rebuilder , they should be able to match something to fit .

use a 89 to 90 alternator from a dodge or grab one of a mini van and swap the pulley then use a voltage regulator and pig tail from a 70's /80; dodge works fine

Like said above use the stock Dodge Cummins ALT and there for all the bracketry works and then what you need to do is take it to a shop and have them get you an external regulator and also wire in a tach wire if you want a tach. Its super easy to hook up once thats figured out and you will never have a problem. I have had no problems and everything is very accurate and there are no problems then dealing with different pulley size and stuff.
