I want to get Aluminum wheels on the new Sunnybrook we ordered, they said they will do it, but it will cost $508:eek: ! Is this reasonable?? I don't think so. They are 15" rims, not sure how wide. Are trailer rims any different than regular rims? Would I be better off swapping them with regular aluminum rims from a local tire shop?

For the kind of money Sunnybrook would charge, I would rather upgrade to 16 in wheels and tires.

Higher load rating rubber--you're always hearing at iRV2.com about the 15 in. tires blowing out at speed with the 5er crowd.

Also, if you're towing with a 4x4, the 16 in. wheels will get better clearance with the truck bed.

can you get 16" rims to fir the pattern on the 15"? That would be the ticket! :D I thought you had to upgrade axles to do this.

16" Aluminum Wheels on Sunnybrook

Kev,

I ordered my new Sunnybrook with the 16" wheels plus the aluminum option. The dealer gave me a spec sheet which he said was his cost per item from Sunnybrook  . The aluminum wheel option is $350. The 16" wheel option is $175.

The sheet looks to be authentic from Sunnybrook. If your dealer didn't give you one, let me know and I'll fax you a copy.
