hi guys

i just got done installing my new wheels and tires. i was wondering if i should torque down the lugs nuts to factory specs. as always thanks for the help. see sig.

Gosh I may be wrong but the other day I took off the mudgrips and I think the guy said 125lbs. That is a lot of difference from 70. I have the alum wheels. Thsi was at Discount tire. He looked at a chart then started to do it.

M/T Alcoa recommends the factory torque spec. of 135 lbs. ft. (nominal) for their forged aluminum wheels. Unlike cast aluminum wheels, they do not require steel inserts where the lug nuts nest.

BTW, all new aluminum wheels should be retorqued after the first 50-100 miles although some (including myself) retorque them after each rotation at that same interval.
