I would say no. I get vapor from there all the time. Higher blow-by doesn't always mean you're burning oil.
How much do you add between changes? Keep a good record of miles and oil added to see if your consumption increases.

well before my last oil change 2 weeks ago... i really saw almost no oil consumption
right before last oil change i consumed 1 quart @ 3500-4000 between changes
but so far my dipstick looks ok
yesterday what i neglected to mention was that it was cold enough to see my breath
so tomorrow i'm gonna check during the warm part of the day.
BTW i can smell the oil while idling for cooldown, right after a hard run on the highway 80mph.
