So, I've been trying to keep up and read up. The wife is changing jobs and I finally get to park the 01 long enough to do a few things. Here's what we're up to...

1)new radiator(old one had developed a tank seam leak)

2)new upper and lower hoses(ounce of prevention)

3)kdp kit(only way to know for sure is to do it, right?)

4)Enviroguard crank breather(Cummins said I got the last one they could find)

5)LMC headlight harness

6)Edge Juice w/Attitude and pillar(guages, mileage, and power)

7)clean out a/c blower housing and add drain elbow(water oaks over driveway)

8)install cab clearance lights(correct 01)

9)install 24V Cummins bumblebee stripes and Geno's windshield decal:cool:

10)oil change and lube everything

11)wash, wax, vacuum, & detail(wife's been on 7 12's/wk since Thanksgiving and it's filthy)

12)buy new tires(especially since her new job is at BFG):D

Basically looking for anything I should be doing while we've got it torn apart to do this stuff that I'm not already doing. I don't like having to take stuff apart twice if I can do it all at once.

Trucks probably gonna be down for a week or two to get it all done. A few things are still in shipment. We have a 4yr old and a 6yr old helping, which can be a little interesting sometimes.

If you put that juice on there... you need to do something about the lift pump. Either add pusher along with bigger lines or switch to an aftermarket fuel system of some kind.

I would through a valve body in there for some prevenative transmission replacement:-laf

But yes, if you plan on useing the power as a bare min. hook up the fuel pressure sender. But an ungraded fuel system is always good.

have a look at the trans line to the heat exchanger on engine as they tend to go. also the brake line over the rear near the tank. you can use a small vacuum cap to plug the washer resevoir when it comes out.

Thanks. All input is appreciated. Your knowledge and experience is why I joined.

No plans to use juice over stage 2 until we do some transmission upgrades. We're primarily after mileage, monitoring, and turbo cool down at this point. Can't afford to start bombing and breaking things. Still trying to plan my fuel system upgrade at this point, but do intend to do one. One of the reasons for the monitor is to watch fuel pressure.

I was planning on giving the whole truck a once over while it's down. I'll put the transmission line and brake line on the list of things to double-check.

Anything else I should be looking out for or doing while doing the radiator and Kdp? Or while I have interior in pieces to do cab lights? It needs a dash shell badly, but I'm not ready to tackle that one just yet.
