Reading all these threads lately has got me wondering if I'm in the minority of people loving these new trucks. My 2008 has been really good to me, and aside from the O2 sensor issue its never given me cause for concern. Anyone else enjoying life with their 6. 7?

absolutely!

I love my 6. 7, lots of untapped potential! Check out cummins forum, lots of kick ***** 6. 7's over there! ( maybe you are a member there too)

I wouldn't trade my 6. 7 for anything!:D

08 5500... miles ahead of the F550 I sold... and better than the 3500 duallys I own... . now has 30K miles... .

Don't confuse people troubleshooting/seeking knowledge as being unhappy. I think this site would have more 6. 7L members if they didn't get shot down for reporting codes and problems that have and do crop up with an first year vehicle. I for one will not be renewing my Sub in a year nor will I be recommending this site to other 6. 7L owners.

I believe sooner or later they will get the bugs worked out of it. I love all of my truck except the seats and the exhaust ..... both of which could be remedied for some $$$$$.

Happy with mine so far. 18k miles... no codes (fingers crossed). Mileage could be better and it does seem to be improving as the miles add up.

OK So Far!

I'm happy with mine so far. Only a couple of months old, 1,100 miles and no real problems. The only mechanical issue is the "clunk" while shifting sometimes. I'll figure out the "clunk".

The mileage is what I expected going in.

I was on the fence, Ford or Dodge. Not unhappy with decision.

When I see the 09, I hope I'm not unhappy when I see the interior change.

Loving mine! Don't have enough miles to really say nothing will happen, but happy and no problems.

Wouldn't say I would never go back to a 5. 9, but I wouldn't let go of the 6. 7 very easily.

I like my truck can't beat the motor, trans and exhaust brake. The fuel economy is lacking a little but in the trucks defence it does have 4:10's. i have gotten 17. 5 mpg just have to keep it at 70 mph. I have 8,500 miles and only 1 real check engine light now it just stays on, but no paarts replaced

Love my 3500 QC C&C 6. 7 (305HP) No problems as of yet, but the MPG is about 3MPG less than my 2500. Considering my 3500 has DRW's and a potato in the exhaust I think it has done great. The other makes have terrible MPG compared to our CTD's, and more reports of trouble.

I love my truck

I have the 07. 5. Had the G30 recall done and have not had a problem, no codes. I just made a 7,000 mile trip towing a 11,000 # 5th wheel thou the N C mountains, across I-40 to Ok and up to S D, went across S D to Rapid City and back to Jacksonville Fl. was amazed at what the truck would do. Run most of the run in cruise control with tow/haul and exhaust brake on. Just loved how it operated. Average mpg was 10. 7. I have owned a Dodge diesel since 89 this is my 3rd dodge and is the best. I have had no problem since I bought it Dec. 30 07.

.

I don't own a 6. 7 but I will say that every time the engine gets updated I see a post like this. I remember back in 99-2000 when I was reading about how much trouble the VP trucks where having and guy where saying... I would never own one, then when the common rail 3rd gens came out, same deal. Now with the 6. 7 its the same. Like someone said above, don't confuse problem solving with dislike.

Love it!!

I use high idle when idling, had the reflashes done, used very little around town mostly towing or long highway miles... . 26,000 miles no problems.

I just got a 12v for a toy. DTT transmission and 100 plate, 3000k springs so far. That truck is fun to drive no doubt. Hoped in my 6. 7 today for the first time in a couple days and it still really impresses me even in stock trim. Mines not for sale... . :D

This from a friend. His is a 2007 QC long bed G56. At first he was a little unhappy, mainly with the mileage. I wrote him recently to see how it was treating him and I got this back. Sounds like he had the G30 flash??? BTW; his "big trailer" is a 33 foot 3 axle tag-a-long toy hauler.

"Bruce, I love my truck, the mileage has improved after 15,000 miles on it. (only have 17,000 miles on it now) I tow about 65 mph with my big trailer and get about 10. 5 mpg, faster with the open trailer and get about 16 mpg. I got one recall notice from Dodge took it in and they replaced a sensor and reflashed it, I took it back to dodge for a second time because I was getting exhaust in the cab in stop and go traffic they said it had a bad exhaust clamp they replaced and I haven't had any other problems. Mark"

7,500 miles and trouble free

Had the G30 recall done in May. No codes before or after and fuel mileage averages 18-19. The best truck and engine I've ever owned. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one!
