All right gentlemen brought the 05 home on 10/30/04 (3500 4X4 DRW). I was walking up from behind the beast and I noticed what looked like to me was that the truck was leaning slightly to the curb side sooooooo!!! I got out the old tape measure and sure enough there is a 1/2" difference on the curb side 1/2" (lower) on the passenger side of old "sweet love". Honest opinions guys should I bother with a warranty claim or blow it off?. DUHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!.

Mine doesn't lean either. I would say have it checked after all you just dumped a good chunk of change and deserve to be a little picky. :D

Check the numbers on your springs. There different springs for different options. I don't remember where someone listed what numbers go with which options. Oh, this applies to the front coils. There's a paper tag with a number on it. Left and right are different... one number apart. I don't know about the rear.

I just put Timbrens on my truck and driver's side has about an inch clearance, while passenger side had none.

My truck is a couple of years old, though...

I just installed a set of Firestone Ride Rite air springs on my 2500 4x4 and took some measurements before installation and my truck was higher on the left by 1/2" with about 13/16 of a tank. I also took measurements from the axle tube to the frame and at that location the measurements were identical.

"Leaning toward the curb side"... ... a crown in the pavement can be very subtle, doesn't take much to make a 1/2" over the width of the truck... and lower toward the curb side makes sense, I'm with XJSuperman, I'd check that level first ;)

No lean here. You say i'ts low on the curb side, I assume that means the right side. The fuel tank is on the left so that couldn't be it.

They make a shim plate just for that from the factory. Had it done on my brand new '87 Dodge 4x4. it worked, never a problem after that, shoulda made them change springs tho

Lean

First time I measured mine was at about 15K, a bit over half of which had been towing the 5'er, and the right side is about 1" lower. I don't let it bother me as it drives and tows beautifully and as there is always a driver, and only sometimes a passenger who will be the lighter of the two, . . plus the fuel tank being on the driver's side, I figured it was fine...

Mine has about the same lean. . I never noticed until a guy at work pointed it out on a perfectly flat parking lot. Yep about 1/2" difference, I bet alot more have the lean and don't realize it...

those who are saying no lean, have you actually measured???

My curb side was 5/8'' low when measured from the rear bumper or bottom of the fender but was close when measured from the frame to axle. After I had the Kelderman 4-link system installed I found that if I ran 3 to 10 lbs. (depending on load) more air in the right side the truck looked and felt level but was probably a little high on the right. I like it that way because it evens out the crown on most roads.

Sorry I hav'nt got back many thank for all the input. My wife says that I'm getting carried away with being picky, but it sounds as though there are more trucks that have "the lean" I crawled under the beast and took some more measurements (from the axel the the rubber stop) and its 3/8" off from under the truck. This tells me that some of it is the way the right rear dually fender in mounted.

I wonder id DC is counting on the street (drivers side) to settle more to compensate for the weight of the fuel???. I guess I'll bring it up the next time it's in the dealer, the only thing about that is if they right it it will probably be a 1/2" lower on the drivers side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
