In its own way, this is a pretty incredible story...
The Antarctic Snow Cruiser, built in 1940 by Pullman, featured two Cummins diesel engines (total 300 Hp) powering four electric motors and even had a cherry on top -- a small airplane.
That said, be SURE to watch the few videos of this thing...you even get a quick shot of the INSTANTLY recognizable top of the Cummins motor .
