2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission amp draw for a kill switch

I saw an interesting article in the TDR magazine about wiring a simple kill switch in the clutch safety circuit.



What kind of amp draw do I need to get a switch for? It will be rated for a 12-14V application, but how many amps? Would a cheap Radio Shack reed magnetic switch do?

If it is the clutch safety circuit that goes to the PCM, It is under an amp. Look at the wire on the clutch safety switch.

You'll find that even a cheapo junky switch will easily carry the current.



It's only a simple open/close circuit. As already said, very little draw.
