Does code DSA, anti-spin = Trac-Loc?

The color coding in the instructions does not match the wiring on my truck. Has anyone installed the power step, and if so, which wires do I use?

Welcome to the TDR! You will probably get a few more responses if you fill out your signature or at least tell us what year your truck is.

I have installed qiute a few no issues with wire colors yet. They are all violet as I recall just different trace colors for the different door switches. The grey and white tracers are very close,be careful there. With the 06's they tell you to find the wires under the dash instead of at the back of the cluster

On my 07, i found it VERY tight under the dash. A nice hook shaped pick makes easier work of grabbing the correct wire and pulling it free of the harness so you can put a tap on it. I agree on the colors being VERY similar. I used the Swenco Posi-taps instead of the included cheapo taps for a nicer install and just probed each one with a LED test light to confirm which door they were actuated by.

I got brave and cut the wires once I figured out which ones and triple checked them. They are a REAL pain to get at. Cutting them actually made it easier to work on them because I could pull them down farther, but the main reason I did it was to solder extensions on them so I could install on-off switches to the left of the steering column. I don't use them (truck is not lifted) and I only turn them on when someone else, like my wife or parents need to climb in.
