AMP Research Step

Anybody have any experience with these power steps from AMP Research? I've seen some advertisements in magazines but haven't heard much else?

I emailed back and fourth with them about the steps. The price was around $1400 plus shipping for CA. The guy was going to email me the install directions and never did and I basically just forgot about it for a while.



I think I may look into them again when my wife gets a new truck.

Got 'em installed last month for about $1100 out the door. I live close amp-research and there are a few local installers that give better pricing than purchasing directly from amp-research.



As far as the steps are concerned, they work very well. Very sturdy and while retracted, are almost completely invisible. They extend very quickly so there is almost no waiting period to step into the truck after opening the door. In addition, they have safety circuitry built-in, so the steps will not retract if someone is standing on the running board.

Do you have any pics of them installed? Would you know if it is a DIY kind of install? Living in Hawaii seems that would be my only option.

I got an email from Robert Labonte and he says this is a mopar accessory available through the dealer. Part #82208369 if anyone is interested.

Anybody have the name of a place to buy these. I saw them at a dealer and I want some. Got a price and I probably can't do better, but I'd like to try.

TMTT, what's cool about these is they are full length and can not be seen at all when in the retracted position.

I saw these steps for the first time today while fueling up. These steps look awesome when down and totally invisible when up. Very sturdy too! I only wish I found these before I bought my tube steps.
