I believe it is 400 watt measured it a long time ago. 110 volts and about 3. 65amps



That sounds like the block heater, as the grid heater is 12V not 110V.



For 3rd gens the block heater is 6. 5 amps at 110v, or 715 watts. (I think the 2nd gen is the same, not sure on 1st).



The grid heater is 2 95 amp circuits, which at 12v is 2280 watts.
 
Thanks for the info guys. I bought new batteries at Sears, had them installed and they told me I had a short that was drawing 200 amps when first tunring on the key. Now I know why I don't like those people touching my truck.
