Amsoil 5 gallon Buckets.........

I just got some of Amsoils 50 weight powershift transmission fluid in a 5 gallon bucket for my Eaton Fuller transmission. How do I get the lid off of this thing? I don't just mean the pour spout, I need the whole lid off so I can sitck my pump in it.

If you look at the lid, you'll see notches every couple of inches on the outer lip. Use a utility knife to cut each of these and you can then pry the lid off. It'll still be tight, but by working your way around, it will come off. It can also be replaced and will have a good seal.

Got it... ... ... ... . Thanks Lynn... ... ... . This one actually had no notches but was able to pry the lid off. Must be pressed on there.
