Has anyone experienced grabbing in their LSD using only the amsoil 75/140 syn oil. I'm @67k and changed to amsoil 75/140 @5k. I just replaced the diff oil because lately I had been experiencing some grabbing on sharp turns and thought it may be time to renew the oil as I do some towing. Been to Texas twice (pulling 8k)and back and forth on camping trips here in Ca. It seemed to clear up, but I haven't driven it much. Right now I have it in for some transmission service, since I going to Texas in August, and for some exhaust mods and my mechanic called and said he felt some grabbing in the rear end when he test drove it. He suggested I use some modifier in it even with the 75/140 to see if it doesn't stop other wise I may be looking at some rear end work.

Some people have to add the modifier and some don't. I guess it depends on how your rear diff. was set up. My son and I changed ours many a mile ago(75W90) and did not have to add any. Some guys add a little and see what it does. If it still grabs they add a little more and check it again.

I think it depends on how many miles you have. Mine has a Mag-Hytec cover and at 40,000 miles it took 2 bottles of modifier to stop grabbing in turns. Now with over 70,000 miles, it only takes 1 bottle (4 oz. ) I am using Amsoil 75-140 series 2000.
