About a month ago I read a post regarding an Amsoil BHAF that had a 4" fitting on the end. A part number was given (not the 4510 filter) which I wrote down and then forgot where I wrote it down. I cannot seem to find it on the Amsoil site which seems pretty hard to navigate. Can anyone help. Getting old, CRS!!!

Eaau4070, 4075, 4090, 4091, & 4095 all of those have a 4" ID outlet. I hope this helps. -Jason

their #s break down to basically:
first 2 digits 40 = 4. 0"/ 35 = 3. 5"/ 45 = 4. 5"/ ect.
last 2 digits are length/ style 70 = 7"/ 90 = 9" / ect
IIRC if the last digit is a 1 the filter has an inverted cone on the end.
Hope that helps some. :)

P. S. does anyone have flow(cfm) #s for the EAAUs? I have a 4510 and my twins can pull it nearly inside-out!:--)

Interesting on the "inside out" bit!

The one I have on my relatively stock truck is about a year old now, and pulling steepest grades with our 5er still hasn't budged the filter minder. Wonder what other guys with twins use for greater air flow?

I really can't complain about the Amsoil/Donaldson 4510 I have now - but the previous BHAF sure LOOKED more capable in surface area for greater flow...

Gary,

does that heat shield vibrate much? I had the same one and it drove me nuts.

Only herd it at idle. Ive since removed it.

Gary, this is my filter. :-laf

I did NOT squish it! the twins actually PULLED it in like that! Most Ive seen is 55psi (it will make MUCH MORE) but alas no head studs. :p Thats why I'm looking for flow #s. Only answer I ever get is," Call so-n-so they make twins. Anyone ever buy a set? What filter did you get? what cfm does it flow?

Mine's bent to hold tension against the turbo cold side - and then I have a rubber pad secured between it and the turbo to cushion it against noise - no problems.

Stupid question here... . Has anyone tried running 2 air filters? If they can be inverted... Why not put a "Y" in the system and install 2? Same quality of filtration... more volume. Just a thought.

If I could get 2 smaller filters to fit AND flow more I would certainly do it, no dice yet, but I am looking into it!:)

A pic would be nice of that. Engine looks good !

Sure - here's a pic showing the backside of the heat shield:

And while I was at it, I took an overall pic, showing how the underhood looks as of this morning - it changes frequently! :-laf

AS to where I got that heat shield, got it used from a TDR member - don't remember who any more. There are several plans floating around for making one up - shouldn't be too hard to make...
