Just turned 100k. Put amsoil in everything front to back. The amsoil did not have a cross reference for that chrysler syncromesh, so we put amsoil atf in the 6 speed & transfer case. I've put 1000 miles since and no gear clash or any other problems. Can the atf damage my 5600 or am I good to go? Lee

Yes!!! Get that out of there!!!!

The NV5600 takes a specific lube. More like a 10W-30 then an atf.

There is a Penziol lube that is Factory approved. Many have used Amsoil 10W-30. I have Redline MTL in there.

But do not Run ATF in there very long!!!!

I have Amsoil ATF in the Transfer Case. Works great!

Amsoil Series 3000 5w30 HDD in the engine, NV5600 and the T-case. Has worked great for many miles. Drain the ATF out of the 6 speed right away.

I agree with Cumminspower. I am running the series 3000 5w-30 in my 6 spd and it shifts easier. The ATF is to thin and does not have the same lubricating qualities of good oil.
