Amsoil BMK11(question)

The bmk11 housing has a small brass fitting threaded into the shaft that the filter threads onto. The hole in the center of the fitting is very small. Is this suposed to be there. If so what does it do (reduce volume_increase presure).



I just installed a dual bypass and there was no such fitting. Any help would be appreciated.

yes the fitting is suppose to be installed on the outlet. it restrictes the flow of oil for better filtering.

It also restricts the flow to keep you oil pressure within normal limits.

Thanks guys. All finished with the install. It just looked funny. Nice kit I instaled the unit below the air box. Thanks for the help.
