i just bought an amsoil bypass filter with the full flow and bypass filter and was making so much noise,i mounted it under the pass. side to the frame. the hoses seem to be too soft for the pulsating oil pressure . i had to take it out, i couldnt live with that noise. i hate when i buy some "top of the line" brand product and ends up making so much noise like the south bend clutch i had on a powerstroke. when you read the description it never says "notice ,noisy on some applications",its always on a small line somewhere in the installation instructions once you already bought it.

is there any mount or stronger hoses that dont make so much noise for the cummins engine?

I had the exact problem with my dads truck. Mounted the filters back under the flatbed. The first run with the hoses ran outside the frame (over the plastic fenderwell). Noise was resonating through the cab with 3 Adel camps. Second try solved the problem. I ran the hoses straight down to the inside of the frame all the way down to the back of the cab, then over the frame with 4 adel clamps. keeping away from the cab solved the problem.

for a lot of reasons that is a expensive setup you should not use. the mount has some restriction parts to get more oil flow through the bypass filter, this causes drop in oil pressure, the gauge in your truck is not a gauge but a idiot light. it is connected to a 6 psi pressure switch , the gauge reads the same from 6 psi to 120 psi. get rid of it and get there bmk21 bypass with the eabp 110 filter. the kit will not have enough hose, mount the filter on the bed or truck frame, use the kit hose for the return line and get a hydraulic hose made up for the feed. do not change the bypass filter at regular oil change interval. at oil change time just lift the fil cap to see if it still flows oil. the filter is at its best at the end of life, it filters out particles half the size of a new one. I picked up a bmk25 at a garage sale, took it apart, drilled new ports, blocked off some ports and made new inserts for the filter and converted it to a fuel filter mount. but unless you have a shop with a lathe that mount is scrap metal.
