South Bend Rally clutch?

New exhaust brake manufacture

The weather is getting warmer and the trucks getting some miles (10. 5K) on her so its time to install my dual bypass filter. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of their install as there doesn't look to be any easy installation. Any help/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about the BMK-15, but the BMK-11 will fit on the passenger side firewall. You may be able to put the BMK-15 there as well. However, there is only room if you have the NV-5600 6-speed. If you have an automatic, the controler is mounted there.

Here is a picture of the BMK-11 mounted there.

Thanks for your reply. I have the automatic and there is no room (that I have found) under the hood for the filters. I'm thinking down and back mounted on the frame somewhere.

That is a nice installation, but the 03's do not have that kind of room for this mount on the battery.

thats a nice setup, I may have to look into that some more. Did you just weld that piece of metal to the battery mounts?

BMK-15 Mounting Kit

There are some pictures on my web site (the link in my sig. ) of the battery mount, billet adaptor and ss hoses that I have been making up.

John... do you make your cool adapter for Chevy small blocks ??. . I have one now on my dually and would like to install a dual mount to my CJ7 . . but only with a very good adapter like yours

you won't regret it!!!!!

CPFF does awesome work!!! the billet adaptor cured a leak i had with the amsoil set up.

too bad john doesn't make a filter block that will use a stratopore and an amsoil bypass.

don't forget you can order bits from amsoil so you don't waste parts. i say get what you can from john then order the rest from amsoil.

then..... of course post pics here so we can check out the installation on an '03

Wayne, maybe I missed it, but how did you mount that filter back there by the drier? That would be an ideal spot to mount a bypass. Any problems with leaks? My truck is a 99 and I know I have the room. Did you get everything from Amsoil?

John,

My truck is a 2003' model 4X4 6-speed, so I do not know if you could get the BMK-15 mount to fit in the same place. I do know that the 03' with the automatic does not have the room there, as there is a computer control for the transmission mounted in the same spot.

You see, there is a braket on the firewall that has the places for the automatic trans controler to attach too. I just mounted the BMK-11 to a piece of metal and then attached the entire thing to the braket. I used the BP-89 (swivel Fitting) to return the oil from the filter back to the oil fill cap.

Hope this helps,

I got a chance today to check out the differance between the CTD filter (SDF-80) and the Chevy (SDF-25). The Chevy filter has a much larger dia. gasket than the CTD. That means the alum. piece as well as the ID thread of the "banjo bolt" would have to be made special. No big deal -- Just getting one banjo bolt plated would be rather expensive though.
