Amsoil EaBP100

Is there anyway to purchase an Amsoil oil filter without paying the nose bleed prices on their website? I'm in the process of piecing together a bypass kit but it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and use Amsoil's filter (EaBP100) due to the lack of spin on bypass filters available on the market. The filter is the only thing I ever plan on buying with Amsoils name on it so it doesn't make sense to pay their annual membership fee but $54 bucks is just stupid for one filter. Any ideas? Or other brand filters out there that I'm not aware of?

Their filters ar the only ones I know about. Just pay full retail, it's cheaper than the filter and membership.

See if you have a local dealer, then you aren't paying too much shipping.

Well they certainly have capitalized on that corner of the market haven't they #@$%!

I would expect to pay more for a bypass filter than a full flow, maybe even double but not 4 times the amount. If Am$oil is willing to knock 25% off just by becoming a "member" that tells me they are substantially inflating their prices from the get go.

I have the Amsoil doule by Pass filters on my 02 and I beleave I head some place that their filters wouldn't fit anyother filter mount the threads are differnt

I'm not sure what the dual bypass heads use for filters but the single bypass units require 1"-16 threads for the filter. It did take some searching but I was able to source a head with the correct threads. I will have to modify it to restrict the flow because the head is designed for higher volume sumps but I am confident I'll be able to make it work. The only thing I'm second guessing is if I have enough room in my engine bay for the EaBP100. I'm thinking about ordering the 90 instead, but would prefer to use the 100 because that's what is recommended.

I have one left over in my garage from my bypass on my "05.. It's new in the box and I'll ship it to you for 30 bucks.

The thread/gasket pattern is actually identical to the full flow for our ISB motor, but nothing is fine enough to use as a bypass except the Amsoil.

The nice thing is that one filter is a spare for both if you have issues on the road.
