This post is for all you Amsoil experts out there. I may have posted this before. If so, forgive me.

I installed a dual bypass system on my used 95 Dodge Ram at 100,000 miles. Prev owner had used Rotella. I poured in 11 qts of Amsoil Diesel and Marine 15-40. Worked great. I used Fleetguard full flow filter instead of Amsoil SDF 26. Amsoil book said they are interchangeable( I assume the filtering ability of the Fleetguard is similar to SDF 26) After 6,000 miles, I began to get a d elay in the oil pressure upon startup. About 5 sec delay. I got a little nervous and changed the full flow filter. Same delay on startup. Good pressure otherwise, no oil smoke, no leakes to speak of. I have not done my first analysis yet. Oil looks good. Is this anything to worry about?? Thanks, guys.

Are you sure you're putting in enough oil? My engine is a 24V so I don't know if our capacities are the same or not, but remember that whatever your "stock" capacity was, you now require about 1. 5 quarts more than that because you have more oil held in the bypass filter. Mine was 11 quarts stock; ~12. 5 quarts after dual bypass installation. If 12V capacities are similar, then by putting in only 11 you'd be starting out near the "add" mark, and by 6,000 miles could easily be 1 or 2 quarts below the add mark. Also, there was a problem with dipstick lengths several years ago, I believe you can find more information on Fritz's site (TSB's). But if your dipstick was right before you added the dual bypass, it would still be right today.
