I have Given advice and heard a bunch as well But this is new. A couple different conversations on trans fluid has led to the famed amsoil service replacement and how some say that the stuff isn't worth it and some say and swear by it. Now I am hearing amsoil does not have the Cleaning factor that "normal" fluid does. Then the arguement went on about lubricity and how amsoil's cleaning agents aren't in need of abundance because of it's superior lubrication factor. A trade off... maybe but correct me if I am wrong here but Number one reason for failure can be determined to be excessive heat. Number two is contaminated fluid that no longer has any of its "cleaning power" that allows things like varnish and acids to build up in valve bodies and clutch packs.
