First off, this thread is NOT intended to start another "oil war"... . :-{}
Just switched from Mobil Delvac1 5w-40 synthetic to Amsoil synthetic & noticed that I now have NO blow-by oil coming out of the puke tube..... This is even after a hard run, where before with the Delvac, I would often have a couple of drops! Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, but I have a hard time believing that the switch to Amsoil 15w-40 HDD is doing it. Anyone wanna comment on this interesting phenomenon? I thought as engines get older, you get MORE oil puking out of the tube, not less...
FWIW, I have 93,000mi on the engine, 23K of which have been heavily bombed... .
