Ready to switch to Amsoil, but doesn't look like much room under the hood for installation. Any one who has done the job have recommednations as to where to put the dual filter rig?

Thanks...

I fabricated a bracket to replace the battery strap on the right side. I used several layers of sheet metal and coated them with plastic/rubber material. I understand that someone is selling them as well. Check through the old posts.
The filters hang from my bracket between the battery and the engine. Makes it really easy to change out filters.

On my 94 Ram 2500 I mounted the Amsoil dual remote filter kit with brackets provided. Mounted it to the cross bar below the radiator near the center of the truck. I had 10,700 miles on oil when my truck was totaled including the bypass kit. Just purchased a 1995 2500 Xcab and am looking forward to Amsoiling it. Good luck.

Seems I remember reading somewhere that you could leave the original oil filter in place, run a line from the port in top of the filter mount to a single Bypass filter and from the Bypass filter to the oil filler cap. Has anyone done this? I am doing the Bypass at the next oil change.

On the Cummins the dual by-pass seems to do a better job at keeping the oil clean. I only use the single by-pass on cars that do not have the room or the large amount of oil that the Cummins holds. I also make a mounting bracket and a billet filter adaptor.

Steve, I have the single bypass set up on my truck. I opted for it so that I didn't have all the engines oil pressure running through the hoses, just a slight amount. I am very impressed with the single system.
