I tipped over 52k this weekend on a fishing trip to the San Juan and decided that my engine was probably broken in at this point, and that I should switch to synthetic. After nearly hours of researching, driving, and calling around, I found a private dealer near me. I got two doses of engine flush, 12 quarts 15w-40, and a filter for $90. I hope all of you fellas out there know what you're talking about, 'cause $90 isn't cheap for an oil change. The plus side is he said he'd hook me up with an oil bypass system (aparently an older model) for basically nothing. I may end up doing it because the only difference, I think, is the style of the mount. One observation I have is that my truck definitely sounds a bit more quiet, which is about enough to make me switch back to Valvoline Blue
