My truck is driven hard when it's out, but that is only 2-3 days a week. The current Amsoil 15-40 has been in for 6500 miles--BUT, 8 months. It seldom does short trips, and I change the full-flow filter at @3500 miles. Is the time-in-service too long under these circumstances?

Thanks.

(whoops... this post is supposed to be in the "Oil change interval question" thread; I goofed up and got it started as a new thread--can't seem to delete it and put it where it belongs. Sorry. )

Just click the #ad
in the lower right-hand corner of your 1st post. There is a little check box that ask you if you want to delete the post. Just check the box and hit the "Save Changes" on the bottom. The post will disappear.

Deleting thread and adding post to existing thread

You can copy the post using the Left/right mouse clicker then delete the thread/post. Then while saving the copied post, find the intended thread to which you wished to add your post. Then do as you normally would to respond to a thread but paste what you have saved/copied into the new post and thread. This saves a lot of typing, and you don't have to worry about overlooking any points from the original. All of it will pasted into the new post. :D End of Copy/Cut/Paste lesson for today.
