Fuel losing BTU's and HP in Black tank?

Wouldn't it be fun if the 6.7 was like this ...

OK Not an Oil War please . . What are your thoughts on their BYPASS System????? $$$$$$$$$ and ideas on their filters... .

How do you think the 2 110's on the turbo supply line limits flow? The amsoil bypass mounts only have a 1/32" hole in them. . .

I have a single 110, love it.

The mount that I have is a double mounting bracket by Amsoil. It was designed for to have full flow filter and a by-pass fiter on it, thereby taking the place of a factory full flow filter.

What I did was remove the by-pass restriction collar and retention spring from the mounting and I aquired another threaded oil collar that I installed into it, allowing me to mount up two 110 by-pass filters and run them in parrallel.

The hardest part for me was getting information from Amsoil as to what the flow rates are for the filters. In this case it is about 1/2 gallon a minute for each filter. Once I knew that, then it was easy.

I had a local hydraulics shop swedge up a couple of lines for the supply and return that were a 1/4" larger inside diameter than the original turbo supply line. This allowed me to get greater volumn/flow over the distance covered. I then tied the outlet to the smaller turbo supply line.

So I am getting 1 to 1. 2 gpm of flow of oil to the turbo. I have been running this set up for a few years now with no problems. My truck has 206,000+ turns on it now and the turbo is the original factory installed HX-35.

No problems and I know the turbo is getting clean, cooled oil.

Good deal, glad you did the research... I could see just slapping some 110's inline cause issues, but looks like you did it correctly.

On my 02, I have my Amsoil setup mounted to the passenger side engin mount and plumbed to a Perma Cool oil cooler to the right of my front radiator.

Oil is clean and cool. I also plumbed valves so I can bypass the oil cooler in winter.
