Hino HO6CTI HELP!

SUBJECT: Real trucks don't have spark plugs!

Trucks crew,

I'm personally sick and tired of the same old same old "truck build ups". I have yet to see any real trucks on your show. I understand the diesel market isn't much for "retro trucks". However, I have yet to see any quality diesel based truck build ups. Yeah yeah yeah, you guys dynoed a bully dog truck. Big deal, you did not do any real work on that truck. The diesel community called every aspect of that show "bull".

What I want to see (and more then one show a season) is you folks attempt to build a Diesel drag truck or a diesel sledpulling truck. I want to see a stock truck and the end result being something that can run a 10 second 1/4 or a truck run with the big dogs on the dirt track.

That new S10 you guys are building... 600 hp? HA HA HA HA HA, that's it? It's be done before. Who Cares! Tho, since the previous version of that truck was slower then a caviler, I'm not surprised at that 600hp. I'm sure your 13 second truck will be fun.

Come one guys, Stacey never did much with diesel either, however he was 10 times better. Show me something to change my mind. In the mean time, I'm going to change the channel.

Yeah, it's a little un-professional but it gets the point across.

To me the shows do stories to pay the bills they show you a little every week so you keep watching every week to see what isdone next . yeah a diesel truck would be nice but lets all be honest is there enough gearheads outthere that wanna see them build a diesel ? I would but only a few wont pay for the show . I would like to see what responce you get back if any.

It would be nice, that what I liked about two guys garage... They did other stuff besides Banks, Banks, Banks all the time... . I don't even watch those "SPIKE" gay shows anymore... Dear "SPIKE TV" ever hear of TST, SMARTY, PPE, HTT, I. I. , need I go on??? I have more power in my SMARTY than a $2,500 Big "HOSS" bundle... . (LOL)

at least they got rid of mr clean, the show sorta reset to it's original form when stacey was almost the sidekick to a goober thats a bit like the goober that replaced mr clean, maybe slightly more gooberly then the new guy

Don't hold your breath for a serious personal response or a programing change to cater to a niche market. This is national TV. They have to aim for the broadest possible audience. How many people use diesel pickups to pull RV trailers? I'd say a heck of a lot more than pull sleds or quarter miles in competition. I'm not holding my breath for that considerably larger, but still not mainstream market either. Add them all together and it's not even close to the number of S-10 owners.

If you want to change the channel, Truck U on Speed frequently covers diesels. They've done hitch installs, injector swaps, water/methanol injection, air bag suspension, plug-in modules, gauges, auxiliary fuel tanks, WVO and Biodiesel, and of course the everyday intake/exhaust blah blah. They seem to have a penchant for Fords, but at least it's diesel.

2 Guys Garage, also on Speed covers diesels as well, though less performance and more maintenance. Sam Memmolo is a TDR writer, former Dodge guy, now Chevy. Sam's late co-host, Dave Bowman, was a Cummins engineer. That's credibility. In September, they're airing shows on diesel performance and heavy duty towing safety. I think I'll watch.

I don't mean to sound like a Speed cheerleader because I'm not. I've held a grudge ever since they stopped airing FIA World Rally Cup. My point is, there is some half-way decent diesel oriented programing out there and complaining to Smack TV isn't likely to improve it any. There's not much worth watching on that channel any more since Stacy David and Danica Patrick moved on. I do like that Peak anti-freeze commercial though :D

I think they should do more with diesels on there, just to see what people do especially if they could see all the power diesels can make, and that they're not just slow noisy torque monsters, and they can actually compete quite well with gas engines, especially considering the weight difference and that they run only about half the RPM that gassers do.

I've never liked Truck U. It was boring to watch, like a collage TV show. two guys, little better. Tho it's the guys with low budget shows that do the cool things and the few times I stumbled across them shows it was the same crap you see on there other shows. I've never seen a diesel on any of them the few times I did catch it.

Yeah, it's interesting how one of the most challenging automotive sports is pulled.

But I think the diesel market is bigger then one may think. It can't be a nitch if 9 out of 10 people I talk to about my truck ask what kinda chip or blah blah blah this and that. Most know what can be done, most are not willing to do it unfortunately.

i would like to see something else on Trucks besides the same vehicles, (s10, old school, etc... ) and whenever they do show a new show, they are changing something on the SAME truck! those shows are so boring now i dont even try to watch them! wish Stacey would come back! he was the main reason i did watch...

a little off topic. .

did anyone catch that extreme 4x4 show with the samuari they are building there. . at the end of that one, they talked about a repower with fuel injection that runs on free fuel. .

i am hoping to see a vw diesel repower there... [it's been done before, but i haven't seen one in person yet]
