... things are going as expected... hectic. Looks like around 270 trucks. I hear there will be "drop-ins"... . those who just want to "look around" without paying. You might want to put something on the web that they will not be welcome. It may be a free country, but the hotel costs $15,000 (where the vendors are), tents $5000, food $10,000, etc. , for a total of about $52,000. Dodge does NOT cover all expenses. I barely cover out-of-pocket expenses. Everyone will have name tags and those that don't I have asked security to ask them to leave (including vendors that try to crash the event like they have in the past). That's not TDR or Dodge or Cummins... that's me. I don't like paying out of my pocket for freeloaders. May Madness is put on by John and Polly and since it is our party we set the rules. You can say this nicely I'm sure... I'm not very diplomatic. ( might as well tell is like it is John) This is a year long grind that
earns us not a cent... just the satisfaction of putting on a good show for a lot of great TDR members. Nuff said. John

Thanks John -- I would have polished it for you, but I think our TDR members will understand your concern and those that have come to past events know that the money price is a bargain.

I agree completely. I have registration #5 this year, was #6 last year as I recall. May Madness is one of the greatest bargains you will find anywhere! Four days of great TurboDiesel time. John and Polly do a fantastic job and their show is certainly of the highest caliber.

You know I am being fair, unbiased, and open minded, since John now drives an overvalved Ram! hehehe

Mr. Spalding I would like to know if a TDR member that lives 30 miles from Minden is not welcome. I was looking forward to meeting
you guys.

Yes, a club member is hoping to go up for a day. I noted John's concern for people intending to sneak in. I am hoping that people who are more then willing to pay to enter will be allowed in. Are you going to attend Mr. Spading #ad

Hey you guys, you're scaring me now. Not knowing if I could get away or not I just planned on popping over from the west side of the hill (CA) for a day or two. I fully planned on paying but after reading this don't want to get run out on a rail by the posse #ad

I read somewhere else on here that drop-ins would be ok for $40 at the door. Is it? Don't tell me I washed my truck tonight for nuttin'.

John should include his policy re drop-ins in the MM information posted at this site. That would prevent embarrassment in the future. I live locally and can only get away for about 3 hr one afternoon. I e-mailed John last week and he said that I could register at the meeting ($35). Pretty steep, but I don't want to be lumped in with the free loaders.
