1998 12V TPS switch... ..... anybody have a old one off the truck and feal like pulling the cover off of it and posting a few pics???

I am thinking of poking a small hole or two... one to spray into and one to drain to clean the contact area... . and am wondering what spots would be the best to do this at to really hit the sweet spot.

I want to make one more run at this critter before I spend $200 bones on a new one, and as much as I like the mod to remove it, for what I do I would prefer to stay stock.

Thnx Bud.

thnx for the link thats a really good one and the other stuff in the link also really good info... I still want to see the inside of one to see what the sweep looks like and what side its on.

Bueler... Bueler... . anyone...

Thnx B.

Crowhurst,

Thanks for that great link. I printed all 17 pages and put them in my truck file.

Are you currently living in England? If yes, what is the price of diesel per gallon.

I also have an Airstream (31'). My wife and I love that trailer, especially after 10 years of some very rough roads here in the US.

Ray, diesel is currently way down in the U. K at $6 for one of your smaller gallons. I am now enjoying diesel at about $2. 20 in Minnesota, where I am currently working with my son on a lakeside cabin fixer-upper. I have been scratching my head, watching the ice fishermen in the middle of the lake with tents, trucks and fires. We will be back home in the U. K at the end of March, and have just concluded a 3 month trip to Florida in the Airstream, which, as ever, was a joy to use. Best wishes.

Nick.

that is a great post I read it awhile back, I still think if a guy serviced the inside of TPS 95% of the issues would be solved and it would work like desighned.

when I get into work today I am calling around and try to find a dead one at a dealer or Cummins.

peace, B.

When I removed my TPS to clean it, I decided that, beacuse of the way the internals are configured, dismantling would be the better way to get rid of the accumulated debris. Removing, dismantling and cleaning was straightforward.
