This is probally not the right place to post this but since i hang out here i wanted to share this with the 12V crowd.

Not only does this guy own a Duramaxipad but this is what i found this weekend after a teardown.

Not a pretty sight!!! Is that an aluminum head??? Stupid duramaxipad owners. Shoulda stayed with an American engine company not an izuzu (kinda sounds like a studder) :-laf

Sorry about his luck. I hate to hear about carnage on anyone's truck. What kind of mods are on the Chebby if any? Hope you get him back on the road soon.

This truck was only lightly modded. 4" exhaust, gauges, Bullydog programmer running on tow setting that day. It just had head gaskets put on it 5k miles before this failure. This truck is a nightmare to work on!!!!

Can i jump in on the fun :D Prototype Chebby cylinder deactivation

HAHA.

BigEasy said it right. Catastrophic failure, thats what they told us to say in front of the customers at Yancey Caterpillar. They love those words.

I leave it at "FUBAR'd" or "holy *****, what'd you do?!?"

Freakin' DuraTrash

I was following a '05 or newer Dmax today. It must have had a poor programmer in it. The amount of smoke it put out at light throttle was heavier than my 12V, couldn't be good for EGTs.

The last time I saw a head like that it came off a 6v71 Detroit Diesel. 'cept the head of 1 valve was stuck in the piston  :D

I can only imagine how many times this thread will be linked over at the TDR

No chunks went through the turbo thank god.

Thats allright. I'd like to see a cummins stay together with 650+ hp on #2 as a daily driver and haul my enclosed trailer with bobcat and material and plow snow, everyday of the week, full jam power... ... ... ... and believe me, if anyone knows me, i drive it like i stole it, but i still respected my egts and maintenance... ... ... ... not gonna have too many cummins owners saying that, not unless there name is pinocchio

Anyone run into this post over on The Diesel Place Forum Yet?

WHAT A FREAKING MORON, THAT WOULD POST THAT.

There are stock Dodges around here Cummins mind you that haul tractors, backhoes, bobcats all freaking day long and have no need for a panzy assed mod, chip, or those izuzu steroid shots under the hood. .

For the love of God, can they not accept that the Cummins is superior, has been and will always will be... . Take your V8 and drink it, **** on it, just for the fund run it for 24hrs, wide open throttle and then come back and tell us how superior your V8 is... :-laf

God i love it when im in one of those moods... okay im done now. . :D
