Does anyone else have a problem with the ads flashing across the screen?

Whenever I try to scroll down thru the main directory I get a flashing banner with someones ad on it blocking some of the forums. Is there a way to stop them from displaying over an area where I am trying to read? I realize that the ads are helping to pay for this site, but it is very annoying if I can't read some of the forums because of them. :-{}

Other than the Google ads when you are not signed in, I don't think those should be there. Never seen those ads on my computer. Sounds like you have adware/spyware on the computer.

Pop ups? I forgot what those are. Pop up blockers are great. Most anti virus soft ware has pop up blockers. Also you need to remove the adware/spyware. Spybot search and destroy works well for that.

probably some trash on your computer generating them, spybot is good and adware is good, they are free downloads i run both and generally if one doesn't get it the other will, spybot has a feature where it imunizes your computer from certain types of ad crap and other little nastys, i run em atleast weekly

download them get the current updates if avalable and prepare to be suprised at the amount of crap that's hiding on your computer

They are actually not pop ups, they are banner ads that sometimes do not interfere, other times they slide out over forums. The current banner ad that I see is

" 4" Diesel Exhaust

Mandrel Bent Turbo Down Pipes". I do have a pop up blocker & run spyware evry week or so. These are always banner ads from companies selling Dodge Truck related parts or services and appear to be associated with TDR.

I don't usually use the directory at the top of the page. I use the one at the bottom, cleaner, easier to read. Click, scroll, click, gone!

BUT! Don't scroll after you pick a forum, it will change what you picked! ;)
