Just finished up with my annual oil/fuel filter changes. While I was at it, I created a check list to go over the truck from bumper to bumper. My state has an annual maintenance requirement for vehicles over 10K. I know that is for commercial vehicles, but you know lawyers! This way if involved in anything, I've got the proof of what has been taken care of and when. I'm attaching a pdf copy if you'd like to do this also. Tried to attach the word document and it won't allow that. If you'd like that copy, PM me and we can make that happen.

Picked up the brake lining gauge tool from HF, really helped with knowing how much lining is left. Also have the Maddox line caliper compressor tool. That worked so much better then the c-clamp and u-channel that I've been using! Right tools for the job at hand save so much time!

Keep them running to enjoy them!

So I presume P is Pass, F is Fail, R is Repair/Repaired or Replace/Replaced, but what’s it D?

@AH64ID, You're correct on the codes and the D = didn't have time! Sometimes weather plays a part without a garage to work in! I know it's a bit overkill, but wanted to have a through check sheet. It's only once a year and helps to look at to see if anything shows up that may have been addressed in between. Just a CYA type of thing that might help in a sticky situation!

I also added an item to the list - check the grid heater wire for looseness. And on the battery voltage check, unhooked the x-over cable and was within 2 tenths between the two! I was given a new toy to play with, a Tripplet 1000 amp AC/DC clamp meter. Will be able to check some heavy loads now!

Found another uh-oh issue, the bushing on the trans shifter cable was shot! Glad I had replacements in my parts stash. It's a Dorman part#14104. It comes with 2 bushings and 1 retainer clip. Just another thing to keep an eye on as mine had popped off the trans! Just another one of those things to pass along to others. On list to get another one next time I do a RA order.
