Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Competition Here are my results from Orlando Speed World

Competition 7.3 is bigger than a 5.9 and your point is?

Not my truck but a good friends. He called to tell me, and I called BS. Saw the slip at the Houston Bomb Party this morning. 13. 948 at 93 mph. He said the ricer's, camero and stang guys were awe struck. He actually ran two passes in the 13. 90's. This was his first time to the track EVER. He is not a TDR member but Pier's has done him right... ... #10 plate, 370's, PDR HX-40, Lazer Cut Delivery Valves, timing 18. 5.

This truck is a 1997, 3/4 ton, 4x4, 178600 miles, 33 in. tires, 3. 55 gears, 5 spd. He now want's a HX-55... ... . the bug bit HARD!!!!!

Sometimes the quiet ones are the best and the best way to go, no hipe just numbers, I can't remember his name but we were talking about him 2 weeks ago.

How did the bomb party go! David wanted me to come down but it was just to short of notice and I'm saving money. Hope we can all get together sometime, lewisville dyno or another place.

That's a truly impressive ET with only 93 mph, not to mention a 5 spd. I could learn a few lessons about shifting from this guy. :)

Chris, I wasn't present for the runs, but he has been a stick guy all his life. He told me he launched in 4 whl HI, then shifted out after he went to third. His reaction times were pretty good for a 1st timer, . 600 to . 640, not great but with a little work he should be able to shave a hair more off of his time.

I would have never guessed it would go 13. 90's. On Friday night here in Houston it was much colder than normal, Hi 30's. I don't know how much that may have helped or not. When I have driven the truck, it seemed to run out of steam up hi (to wards the end of what would have been about a quarter). He says that the delivery valves got rid of the hi end flat spot.

Chris, I will bet he will become somewhat of a permanent fixture at HRP on friday nights. He drives a driftwood ext. cab, 4x4. He want's me to try to get some more of the Houston guys to come out because his job keeps him from posting here. I know gitchesum (Curtis Harris) wants to try it out and probably others.

Jim, He and I were at the last DFW dyno day, but he had just put in his new Southbend clutch and now we realize that it was not seated good yet. He only made 389 HP, 895 tq. He has since went with the 4K GSK, and bumped the timing to around 18. 0, 18. 5 on the advice of some others. He is eager to get back to the DFW dyno to retest on the same Dyno.
