Well, it happened to me too. My 47RE (BD’s version) is shifting really late from first to second, typically about 2. 5k rpm.

Fluid level is good and the throttle cable is properly adjusted. So, thanks to reading several posts on this site, I know that the next step is to replace the governor pressure solenoid and governor pressure sensor.

What I’m wondering now is, where should I purchase the pressure solenoid and sensor?

Since most low-buck parts stores probably won’t have them, should I go to the dealership? What about the ones I occasionally see on ebay?

Any other suggestions, e. g. , is there an online transmission parts vendor I should consider?

Did you check codes. Its more than likely the transmission output speed sensor. Only about 15 bucks and is on the drivers side in od section of transmission. Cheaper and you don't need to drop the pan or oil. That is the most common cause of the delayed 1-2. I bet you have a code P1596 and P0500. ;)

Standard motor products part - SC104

Check your local parts houses, they are real common sensors.

I just had the same problem a couple days ago.

I just got mine from the stealership, didnt want to wander around for it... I had the same issues, code was for output sensor as above...

Thanks for the replies!

I forgot to mention that I already replaced the output speed sensor.

I'm throwing a 1765 code, which I assume is due to the BD Pressureloc that required the trans relay to be replaced by a jumper...
