If my A\C is low on refrigerant will the compressor cycle? I've bled a tiny bit out to see if there is refrigerant in the lines & there is. I pulled the plug off the canister bottle @ the firewall behind the airbox & jumpered it bypassing the switch. I've checked the fuse (10 amp) & switched the relay with another to try that. Nothing has worked to get the compressor to run.

My question is:

If my A\C is low on refrigerant will the compressor cycle?

Not feeling the cool in Everett... .....

Clay, the compressor won't cycle if low on refrigerant but if you jumped the pressure switch it should kick on. Something else is wrong. On most all bad pressure switchs I've been able to give them a good rap with a wrench and get them going again for a little while. I'm starting to think somethings wrong in your wiring or the dash switch, have you been fooling around under the dash and perhaps pulled a connection?

AC

Well I did install an A-Pillar... ... Havem't used my AC until now since installing A-Pillar. I guess I could have unplugged something but all the other heater functions work. I'm not even sure where to even begin to look.

Should I just be looking for something unplugged?

I'm thinking more in the area around the switch, nowhere near the A-pillar. See if the A/C works in defrost as the A/C kicks on then also. You can at least (maybe) eliminate the switch. Other than that you almost need a wiring diagram to chase it down.
