Hello Everyone

I would like to know if anyone had a problem of draining batteries from a prodigy brake controller. If leaving the boost on, will it drain the batteries. I thought my oringal batteries bad so I bought yellow top from autozone. After 2 weeks of sitting, batteries were low enough not to beable to chank.

Last winter and spring I'd be out of town for 10 days straight every 2 weeks. I never had a problem with the original 3 1/2 year old batteries starting the truck and had my Prodigy set to a boost level of 2 all the time.

Optima's

Should of got them at COSTCO no ? asked they will give your money back, and I went and picked up another set, yellow tops 155. 00 each, also got a gel charger which keeps them fully charged, shuts off when their full power!

Extreme, I had a Carlisle (2003?) Hydrastar controller on electric over hydraulic brakes that had to be disconnected to keep it from draining the batteries. (Got an updated one. ) Two sets of batteries gone bad? Sounds like you got something draining your Bighorn batteries. Maybe one of the electrical genius types on the site will chime in and help you find the current drain. My 04 battteries are still taking care of business! Let us know what you find!! Mark
