Another Convert!

I finally convinced a "died in the wool chevy/gasser" buddy to try an '03 cummins dually last week. He bought it yesterday and is now the proud owner of a 2003 quad cab laramie dually ETH DEE Sport. It was alot of convincing, one thing at a time. I got him to change his thinking from gas to diesel when I got double his mileage on our trip to Baja. He was driving a '98 chevy dually 454. Then I got him thinking about the cummins vs. the duramax. It was touch and go there for a bit when he was convinced he wanted an auto and that the Allison was a better transmission than the 48re, but I told him he would be pleasantly surprised with how smooth the shifting is on the new 6 spd. He tried one and said it drove like a sportscar!

I feel I really accomplished something!!! He stopped by yesterday to say thanks for helping him "see the light"

Yeah Ken, That thought occurred to me too!! When he came to thank me, I said "thank me after 50,000 mi". This truck better not have any major problems, or I'm dog food!! lol
