There is a 1-2" straight piece that connects to a metal eblow down by the A/C compressor. I could not see a part number on it. Is it a Cummins part too?

Brian

Yes. It be a Cummins part ONLY becasue they have to sell it. YOU, on the other hand, will simply need a piece of 5/8" coolant hose cut to length.

I misinformed you earlier. The 90° elbow hoses are NOT originally silicon. At least, mine were not. It was the two straight cut (5/8) hoses that are or were silicon.

What's the difference - silicone or not?

So there are only 6 hoses in this entire setup... . 2 rad hoses, 2 to the heater core, an elbow, and a 1-2" piece. Simple... simple is good.

The 2 to the heater core are NOT Cummins parts, right... they'd be Dodge if anything.

I have never replacd them because they are silicon. Silicon hose does not deteriate from the ion/electrical charge in the coolant like rubber does.

They may be available from Cummins (probably Mopar) with a part number, however, I'd simply use 5/8" cooland hose cut from stock OR cut a section of silicon hose from stock obtained from a local jobber/parts dealer etc.

No..... there are more hoses if you have the automatic w/heat exchanger.

Ace hardware, or local parts store where they have a roll of 5/8" heater hose. Cut off however much you want, pay by the foot or whathave you. Be done with it. This is what I've done for heater core hoses, I've never bought them for a part store already cut etc. Just go cut a couple feet or whatever, maybe have some extra etc.
