installed my new DTT (Bill Kondolay) TC and VB , over the weekend . directions are excellent , EDIT i remove part about things i thought were not clearly stated in the instructions supplied , after rereading them to mark them up , i realized i just read them to quickly , everything was there , stupid me

then there's customer service , i called and woke up stefan (bill's son) on saturday morning to go over a couple of things before cracking the transmission , bill was out of town and i had earlier emailed them my cell phone number . the install went well , took myself and another TDR member about 5. 5 hrs to do the whole thing , everything went smoothly . while i was out driving on sunday i get a call on the cellphone , its stefan asking if everything went ok ... now hows that , rivals brett and taylor at power edge. they were concerned because they hadn't heard from me after the intial call on saturday morning , i'm more impressed NOW than i was before.
impressions ( i have the 82psi VB and 91% convertor), pickup running thru the gears is much better than stock , shifts are firm , 2 to 3 shift is REAL firm. getting 500 rpm drops between shifts and lockup is hardly noticeable. unlike with my stock setup where i couldn't wait till it locked up , with this setup lockup is no big deal , and except for the trans running cooler , i wouldn't miss not having a lockup clutch. driving unlocked is MUCH improved and locked it feels the same as before , which it should, but i do note that lock up engages better than stock , it now seems to me that i may have been slighty slipping when lock up was being applied . should have the required miles on by wednesday or thursday , change fluid and its off to the dragstrip to see how it is .
