Another DUMB box question

just bought a 04 HO will all the boxes interchange

I have a PDQ

I've posted my share of dumb box questions so I'll try a dumb answer. I'm assuming you have a 305hp HO engine.



If it is an 04 it will, but if you have a 04. 5 that has 325hp/600ft. lbs. then it probably won't and I wouldn't try it. The new trucks have alot more code in the ECM (computer module). Our 305 HO engines have 350 kilobytes of code controlling them while the new engines have 550 kilobytes of code.

thanks yes it is a 305. . so it will go... cool will it boost the power

as good as on the 235...

I only have experience with the EZ on an HO and its definitely a noticeable change in power.

looking on my new truck isb325 and on the billed sheet says

HO 600 oops oh well so the box fore shure wont work

is this wright... W/B

Well that would be a nice surprise to find out that you got the 325/600 instead of the 305/555. .

Ramifier is a good idea! it does some fancy boost fooling to coax the ECM into changing the fuel instructions (timing/delivery) So (without further clarification of my speculation here) I THINK the Ramifier would essentially allow high-boost type fueling parameters, combined with higher pressure, even on the low end. Leaving the ECM in control makes it work on the 04. 5. nice.



Just dont' try to make sense out of the marketing language.

There is a difference between the HO and the new 600 in the injection programing. So take your own chances and ask the manufacturer of whatever product you decide to purchase. Here is a difference between the two engines that might effect power module compatability.

Formerly, a small pilot injection was followed by the larger injection event; at higher loads and above 2000 rpm, a single injection event would be used. In the new engine, two or three events are used. The pilot injection is larger, and when under power a post-event is added. "
