I have a 98. 5 ctd 4x4 auto. I bought an ecm for Catcher Program . It came out of a 99 2500 2wd. auto the D/C is 07/28/98 My questions are.

I would like to swap my ecm with the new one to see what kind of difference there is between them, What do i need to do to swap(unhook batterys??) to keep from getting codes. Or should i not even hook up the new ecm without the Mad program.

Next with the reflash for high idle (dealer opt) will that effect the Mad ecm reflash? Or should i have the mad ,than the flash for high idle.

Thanks for your imput Oo.

Write Marco, You probably should test the new (used) ECM. Plug in and see if the grid heater light works, I think that the main check. that it no blinking.

Good Luck

Or, just send it to Bob Wagner, he tests all the ECM's before he sends them to Marco, that's what I did!!! And yes, disconnect the batteries before you remove the ECM, just to be on the safe side. :D
