I just completed my first extended haul after installing TST #8 and a new ProLoc TC. After getting to the RV site, I waited for the EGT to drop to 300. Normally before this trip, it only took a minute or two, even after pulling. I waited five minutes and it was still over 350. EGT seems normal while driving, and boost is normal. It just takes forever to cool down at idle, now. (Idle speed is normal, too). What could cause this?

Park or neutral is fine. A tighter converter will load the engine (even at idle) if you keep it in drive.

I noticed the same thing after upping the power and going to a tighter converter. I pay more attention to avoid keeping it in drive and foot on the brake.

Cooling down

It will cool down better in neutral. Chrysler does not have full flow through the trans in park. Try it , makes a difference. :)
