Hi, I was noticing that the fuel pressure on my truck has been decreasing lately. It seems to stay around 10-13 psi, never goes below 10. The carter pump is only about 3 months old, also has new wiring harness. Kinda bothering me since I replaced the vp44 about 5 months ago. Sometimes will go to 15 at idle. I still have the lift pump in stock location. I was thinking maybe my fuel filter could need changing to correct this problem, but I was wondering if anybody would recommend this Vulcan big line kit I saw on their website. I like the idea of taking the full 3/8 line to the injection pump and relocating the pump to the frame so it'll be easier to change in the future. I know this is no comparison to a fass or anything like that, but for the money ($114. 00) I was thinking this would get me by for a little while, and maybe increase my fuel pressure to where I used to see it at 15 psi just about at all times.

Thanks.

My pressure drops over time as well, fresh filter brings it back up. Always remember K. I. S. S,,,, keep it simple stupid, lol.

If you still have all the original banjo bolts as well as the small steel line between the filter and VP get rid of it. The big line kit is a great addition and will help the life of your L. P. I have my L. P on the frame just ahead of the tank with 3/8" line and AN fittings from the pump to the VP. What I have noticed with the larger lines and AN fittings is the WOT pressure does not drop as as much as before, at idle the pressure didn't change.

Exactly! Got to be all that fuel in the larger lines.

I would recommend going to the Vulcan big line/relocation kit. If you ever want to upgrade to a larger pump you can still use the exsisting lines and fittings so there's nothing lost.
