Alright folks for context. My ignition switch no longer cycles back to run. Have to manually move it back from start. I know it is a simple fix, but well, you know.... That damn time thing.
Wife takes truck after this all has been explained to her. An hour later she calls me telling me the truck is on fire. Was not on fire, but damn she sure did get things hot driving it across town with the starter engaged. The fuel shut off solenoid was shot but otherwise things seemed ok. A call to geno's had the solenoid on the way PLUS a relay to be on the safe side, (Fuse #9 was fine). Put those in and all was well for a bit. Then it would intermittently not start as the fuel shut off solenoid was not getting power. It now always happens when the vehicle has been driven. But if it sits for a while, it will start on its own.
So just looking for a simple english explanation of how this is wired so I can start looking for a bad wire or ground.
Thanks in advance!
